What SmartBidCheck is

SmartBidCheck reads contractor bids you upload and lays the stated scope side by side. A free report, limited to one person, shows that scope table and up to three red flags. A full report ($39 one time, unless the configured price changes) adds the longer missing-items list, questions to ask each contractor, a PDF, and a share link. The comparison rules are the same for every contractor.

The tool is informational. It is not legal advice, construction advice, engineering advice, or a recommendation to hire or reject anyone. It does not rank contractors, score them, or endorse them. A flag means the documents differ or a detail was not found in the upload. It is not a statement that a contractor is unqualified, dishonest, or overpriced.

Your uploads

You need the right to upload each file. Do not upload something you are not allowed to share with a document processor. Remove account numbers or other data you do not want sent to Anthropic. You are responsible for checking the original bids before you sign a contract.

Extraction can miss text, misread a number, or misunderstand a sentence. The app does not promise a level of accuracy, a completion time, or that every gap in a real job will appear.

Free and paid reports

The free allowance is one report per person. Addresses that differ only by a plus-tag, and Gmail addresses that differ only by dots, count as the same address. Another comparison needs a paid credit. The price is in US dollars and does not include sales tax. If Stripe calculates tax at checkout, Stripe shows that amount before you pay. Card checkout is Stripe Checkout on Stripe’s page. SmartBidCheck does not take or store your card number. If checkout is not configured, the free report still works and the paid buttons explain that payment is unavailable.

New free readings can pause for the rest of the UTC day when the in-app AI budget is reached. A report you already paid for can still be opened. Email privacy@smartbidcheck.com within 14 days of payment and we will refund the full $39 if the paid report never unlocks or the PDF cannot be sent, you were charged more than once for the same report, or the report could not read your bids and you did not use the paid features. The same conditions are on the refunds page. A refund does not increase the liability limit below.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the service, bypass the rate limits or the bot check, upload malware, or use the output to defame a person. Public sample bids are fictional. Do not present them as real proposals.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

SmartBidCheck uses artificial intelligence to extract and compare information from documents you upload. Output may be incomplete, wrong, or out of date. It is general information only. It is not legal, construction, engineering, financial, or other professional advice, and it does not create a professional relationship. We do not guarantee accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose. Verify every item against the original bids, and confirm each contractor’s license, insurance, and references, before you sign anything.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SMARTBIDCHECK DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, AND IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR HIRING OR CONTRACT DECISIONS. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE REPORT AT ISSUE IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AND (B) $39 (THE CURRENT FULL-REPORT PRICE), WHICH IS THE MOST YOU WOULD HAVE PAID FOR A SINGLE REPORT. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for fraud or willful misconduct.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in Utah County, Utah have jurisdiction, except where your local consumer law requires otherwise. Questions: privacy@smartbidcheck.com.

Eligibility

You must be at least 18 to use SmartBidCheck. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Mailing address

SmartBidCheck’s mailing address is 881 W State St Ste 140-526, Pleasant Grove, UT 84062. That address is for mail only. It is not a storefront or a shop.

Changes

The live site can be updated. The version you use is the one deployed when you upload. Privacy details are on the privacy page.
